Councillor Rodney Cooper was elected onto Bournemouth Council for the Wallisdown and Winton West Ward in 2007. He was Chair of the Children’s Service Overview and Scrutiny Panel before going onto the Cabinet as Portfolio Holder for Tourism, Leisure & Culture. He Chaired British Destinations (which represents UK local authorities and the private sector in tourism matters) and the Dorset Joint Archives Board.
